About Me

About me…ahh now that’s a lengthy subject! To get the stuff on paper out of the way, I graduated from the University of Missouri with a Bachelor of Arts Degree, received my Advance Life Coaching Certification from World Coach Institute, and my Reiki Levels 1 & 2 Certification from the International Reiki Institute in NYC. Certifications and degrees aside, let me say that no amount of training can replace real true passion and I have a passion for LOVE. For me guiding people to loving themselves so that they can open themselves to be loved by another is my life's purpose. Since I was a child I have loved and cared for many things--people, pets, plants and even stuffed animals. To me everything had feelings and value. My artistic eye allowed me to see the world differently and I easily found beauty in the most unlikely places. A dear friend of mine once gave me the best compliment with regard to the way I see life. She said, "Christina, you can take anything and turn it into something beautiful." Thank you Sedey.

I’m nearly 39 years old and my life has transformed in a matter of a few years. It’s not an issue of age but rather my willingness to put in the effort to make life better and seek out those that with a passion for helping me along my way. I am both teacher and student. Everyday I get an opportunity to share what I  have leaned so far and everyday I am presented with a new lesson to move me along my path. I'm so grateful to assist people in opening their heart, loving themselves, realizing dreams, and living the life they knew was waiting for them. This is truly a passion for me and I strive to translate that in all I do.

Before my journey on the holistic pathway, I worked in Marketing and Graphic Design. I’ve always been a creative person, I used art making as a way to cope with life’s problems as a child. I quickly got interested in photography at age ten, when I received my first camera. Through drawing and photography I could somehow transform my imagination into reality. As time went by and I got older my focus shifted to finding a "real" career that would make money—art could wait. After all, I had to pull myself up from poverty and into a new life. So I worked hard and chased happiness with no clue that it was always within me. Looking back I realize I was insecure, stressed, over worked, and wasn’t caring for myself. This really had little to do with my career choice but more of my mental state and previous thought patterns that were working against me. Proving to me that it’s not what you do, but how you do it.

Where did these negative thought patterns and low self-esteem come from? I could give you the long story in which I describe the loss of many loved ones or my feeling of not being good enough; however what I would really love to share with you is the gratitude I have for having lived through it all and come out a better more grounded person. I started taking responsibility for my own wellness and began looking for the answers within. I now look back at my past through a different lens--a love lens, one that shows me that everything I went through was for a reason and that it all contributed to making me the compassionate, beautiful, and caring person I am today. I thank all my teachers for showing me the way along my path and I look forward to meeting many more. Let me help you realize this for yourself. You can change that hard judgmental voice inside to one that is kinder, loving, softer, supportive, and full of encouragement.
